Busted Democrats freak out over California rules as their own voters turn against them

Democrats love to preach about defending democracy—until they start losing. Then, suddenly, it’s time to rewrite the playbook. It’s happening right now in the so-called “jungle” primary system that California and a few other states use. For years, liberals couldn’t get enough of this system because it let them knock out Republicans early and left voters with a choice between two left-wing candidates in November.

But look what happens when the winds change. All of a sudden, Democrats are panicking. They’re starting to realize that even their own voters are fed up with the same broken promises and failed leadership. Now, some far-left candidates are getting squeezed out. With real competition, Democrats find themselves on the losing side—so, of course, their answer is to demand new rules.

The hypocrisy is staggering. When the “jungle” primary helped Democrats, it was sold as a victory for “fairness” and “modern democracy.” But when reality smacks them in the face and mainstream Americans—who are sick of taxes, crime, and socialism—find their own candidates rising up, liberals cry foul. Suddenly, the system they championed is “unfair” and needs to be fixed. It’s clear—they don’t care about the rules, they care about power.

This is classic liberal incompetence at work. Instead of admitting their own failures and actually listening to regular Americans, Democrats would rather rig the system all over again. Why bother earning votes when you can just change the process to protect your own political careers? It’s the same tired playbook, whether it’s ballot harvesting, court-packing, or flipping primary rules whenever it suits them. The will of the people only matters if it matches the Democratic agenda.

Only one thing is for sure—Democrats can’t stand true competition. When faced with honest elections and real voter choice, they run for cover. If they actually believed in democracy, they’d stop manipulating and start delivering results. But who needs to serve the people when you can just serve up a brand-new rulebook every election cycle? Americans aren’t stupid. The left’s double standard is on full display, and voters are waking up fast. Is it any wonder trust in the Democratic Party is circling the drain?
