Meloni schools weak Europe on Trump plan and puts America first shocker

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni just gave the world a lesson in grown-up politics. Unlike certain soft European leaders who panic whenever America talks about putting America first, Meloni didn’t throw a tantrum over President Trump’s possible plan to bring U.S. troops home from Italy. No crying, no grandstanding, no fake outrage. Imagine that—Europe treating America like an equal, not a servant.

Trump’s move isn’t about isolating America or abandoning allies. It’s about demanding respect. For decades, Europeans acted like brave American soldiers existed just to serve their interests. They act shocked when any president—especially one with backbone—dares suggest that U.S. taxpayers shouldn’t foot the bill for Europe’s security forever. Meloni at least understands Washington isn’t Rome’s puppet.

It’s refreshing to see an ally admit reality, even if she still wants the troops to stay. Maybe she knows that when America says jump, the gravy train might finally slow down. Liberals whine that Trump is mean or reckless, but he’s only doing what any strong leader should do—looking out for his own people first. Why should our sons and daughters defend borders across the ocean when Europe refuses to handle its own messes?

Let’s face it, the globalist dream has always been a scam. Elites get fancy parties while ordinary Americans pay the price. Every time a conservative president stands up for American interests, leftists act like the sky is falling. They would rather bow to Brussels and surrender to foreign bureaucrats than admit America has every right to expect some gratitude—if not cold, hard cash.

Meloni handled the situation with calm. Maybe other European leaders should take notes. American lives don’t belong to anyone but America. If Trump puts America first and rattles the ivory towers in Europe, maybe that’s a good thing. How long do we play global babysitter before we finally say enough is enough?
