Denver just declared war on your gun rights and the DOJ is finally fighting back

The Second Amendment isn’t up for negotiation, but the Left can’t seem to grasp that simple truth. In the liberal fortress of Denver, anti-gun politicians have crossed the line yet again, ramming through a citywide ban on some of the most common semi-automatic rifles in America. You know, the AR platform—the very rifles responsible, not for crime and chaos, but for safeguarding homes, families, and freedom itself. Apparently, Denver’s leaders think they can pick and choose which rights Americans deserve. It’s just another example of big-city bureaucrats acting like they’re above the Constitution.

The arrogance of Denver’s gun ban isn’t just an attack on firearms—it’s an attack on every hardworking American who values self-defense and liberty. The same politicians who lecture us about “tolerance” and “equity” don’t seem to care about your right to protect your loved ones. Why? Because their anti-gun fantasy is all about control, not about safety. They want law-abiding folks disarmed, helpless, and dependent on whatever scraps of security city hall is willing to provide. It’s the same tired playbook used by liberals everywhere: punish regular citizens instead of actually going after criminals.

Thankfully, there’s a bright spot in this storm. The Department of Justice—yes, that DOJ—has chosen to step in and challenge Denver’s unconstitutional power grab. Maybe someone in Washington finally read the Constitution and saw that “shall not be infringed” means precisely what it says. For years, the Supreme Court has made it clear: Americans have the right to keep and bear arms, no matter how badly blue city politicians want to twist the rules.

Liberals love to pretend they’re protecting us with these bans, but it’s nothing but smoke and mirrors. Their so-called “solutions” only hurt the responsible gun owners who follow the law, while criminals laugh and continue to ignore every new restriction. Why is it that honest people are always the ones forced to give up their rights? Maybe because politicians in places like Denver are more interested in optics than in actual public safety.

Here’s the reality: the Left has no interest in stopping at one ban or one city. If they get their way in Denver, it won’t stop there. Next, it’ll be your town, your home, your freedom. Americans shouldn’t have to beg for their constitutional rights. The time has come to push back against every hypocritical, anti-American politician who thinks our rights are up for grabs. Does anyone really believe that giving more power to the government ever leads to more freedom for the people?
