Instead of finding real solutions or showing true compassion, she’s busy pointing fingers at victims like Spencer Pratt, a reality TV figure who actually lived through the chaos. Instead of helping her own citizens, she accuses them of “exploiting grief,” as if ordinary people are the real threat—not failed liberal policies, bloated bureaucracy, or neglected emergency plans.
This is classic leftist playbook nonsense—blame the victims, distract from incompetence. When a fire destroys neighborhoods, Bass rushes to squabble over optics, not aid. This isn’t about protecting people, it’s about controlling the narrative. She wants to drown out anyone—proud Americans included—who dares to expose just how poorly the city manages disasters. It doesn’t seem to matter that her own lack of leadership left the Palisades vulnerable in the first place.
What really stings is the hypocrisy. Elites like Bass parade around as champions of justice, but when push comes to shove, they attack anyone who doesn’t parrot their talking points. When Spencer Pratt tries to shine a light on the pain real folks are facing, he’s labeled an exploiter. Meanwhile, the mayor and her big-city machine exploit every tragedy for political gain, fundraising off heartbreak and using disaster to expand their power. It’s typical liberal double standards on full display.
Don’t forget, this is the same city government that can’t secure neighborhoods, can’t keep fires from destroying homes, and can’t even keep basic promises to its own citizens. Should anyone be surprised when the mayor lashes out? She’d rather control what people say and see than confront the ugly truth: liberal policies turn every crisis into a circus. And then dare to criticize those who speak up? That’s pure, undiluted arrogance.
Here’s a bold idea: maybe it’s time the so-called leaders of Los Angeles stop attacking their own people and start doing their jobs. Maybe if Karen Bass had focused more on public safety and less on policing words, there wouldn’t be so much grief to “exploit” in the first place.
