What’s even more insulting is their arrogance. While average Americans are struggling to make ends meet, these celebrities flaunt their wealth and mock tradition. They act as if tossing centuries of refinement in the trash is edgy, not obnoxious. There’s no respect for the values or customs that made America’s cultural events special in the first place.
It’s time someone said it: the Met Gala has become a joke. The ringmaster isn’t even hiding it anymore. Instead of inspiring America, this night now exposes everything wrong with elitist, globalist culture. If this is what “high fashion” looks like under liberal control, maybe we’d be better off closing down the circus for good.
