The Met Gala just proved, once again, that elites are determined to drag American culture down to their level. The so-called “fashion” on display looked more like a Victoria’s Secret clearance rack than the celebration of art these people pretend it is. When did underwear become the height of sophistication? Apparently, if you’re rich, famous, and out of touch, you can march around half-dressed and call it “high society.”
This is what happens when progressive values infect everything they touch. Traditions? Gone. Modesty? Forgotten. Now, we’re supposed to cheer as Hollywood’s finest strut around in what barely passes for clothing. Have these people even heard of decency? The elites love to talk about female empowerment, but what they’re really doing is degrading women, turning them into spectacles for attention and applause.
Every year, these globalist celebrities gather under the bright lights of the Metropolitan Museum—though, at this point, maybe it should just call itself the Museum of “Whateverthehell.” There’s nothing cultural or respectable left. These are the same leftists who scold the rest of us about morality, who attack traditional Americans, and who pretend to care about strong values. But when it comes time for their big night, suddenly the rules don’t apply. It’s hypocrisy at its finest.
Ordinary Americans work hard, follow common-sense values, and raise their families with dignity. Meanwhile, the liberal elites flaunt their bodies, ignore decency, and try to distract us from the real problems plaguing this country. It’s no wonder trust in the so-called “cultural leaders” is at an all-time low. Who decided that trashy, see-through outfits make someone a role model?
Let’s stop pretending this is about art. It’s about attention and unchecked egos. If this is what the progressive future looks like, count sensible Americans out. When the self-appointed betters can’t even be bothered to wear pants, why should anyone take them seriously?
