Gavin Newsom, California’s golden boy, is in hot water again. This time, he can’t just hide away at some fancy restaurant and toast his own arrogance. Federal investigators are poking around his inner circle. Friends, allies, and old pals are apparently getting questioned—and it all points back to his wife and her so-called “feminist” nonprofits.
Is anyone surprised? The ruling elite in California have always acted like the rules don’t apply to them. Newsom has built his career on lecturing the hardworking people of California while enjoying privileges behind closed doors. Now it turns out the feds want to know more about what’s been hiding in the shadows, especially the networks connected to Jennifer Siebel Newsom’s pet causes.
These so-called charities are always preaching “equity,” “justice,” and every other progressive buzzword you can list, but who’s really benefiting? Not the struggling citizens of California. Not the families watching crime skyrocket, schools slide, and taxes soar. Instead, it’s the liberal darlings and global elites trading influence under the fancy labels of “nonprofits” and “activism.”
Democrats love to act like they’re above corruption, but the stink coming out of the Newsom camp only gets worse. They claim to stand for women, but only if those women support the left’s agenda. They talk justice, but only dish it out to their political enemies. Now, as the federal spotlight shines on the so-called First Lady Partner’s projects, maybe it’s time they tasted a little of the accountability they love to preach.
Frankly, it’s hard to feel sorry for a governor who’s made a hobby of wagging his finger at everyone else. Maybe the next big dinner he hosts will be a little less exclusive—and a little more honest. With liberals like Newsom running things, is it any wonder so many Californians are trying to flee their own state?
