The world is watching yet another health crisis unfold in Africa, but you wouldn’t know it if you only listened to the liberal elites. Instead of actual solutions, we get platitudes and more calls for open borders. Ebola cases tied to the Bundibugyo virus are skyrocketing, with infections surging nearly 40 percent in just one week. Over 200 deaths now stretch across the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda. Where is the global outrage? The so-called “experts” stay silent. Why? Because the disease isn’t in Washington, New York, or Brussels—yet.
The left loves to lecture America about “global citizenship,” but when a deadly virus explodes overseas, they bury their heads in the sand. If history teaches us anything, it’s that these outbreaks don’t respect international borders. Instead of securing our country, Democrats clamor for an immigration free-for-all. Is anyone vetting travelers from high-risk regions? Of course not. Our borders are left wide open in the name of “tolerance.” Meanwhile, real Americans are forced to hope that bad policies don’t let this virus walk right through our front door.
International organizations, powered by globalist dollars, pour endless resources into “raising awareness.” They’d rather hold another summit than take tough action. Notice how every liberal solution boils down to writing big checks and holding hands. No one is willing to say the obvious: strong borders, tough screenings, and American self-interest must come first. While global bureaucrats wring their hands, the American taxpayer foots the bill and bears the risk.
Let’s not forget, the last time a crisis like this broke out, it was the American system—built by conservatives, not leftists—that provided the leadership to stop it at home. Yet, every crisis under progressive “leadership” ends the same: open borders, empty promises, and Americans left in danger. Isn’t it time we finally admit that putting America first isn’t just patriotic—it’s common sense?
How many warnings does the world need before our leaders wake up? Liberals can keep pretending every crisis is just a talking point for their next campaign. Real Americans know better. The threat is real, the numbers are growing, and Americans deserve leaders who will act before it’s too late. Who will speak for the people—before the next outbreak lands right on our doorstep?
