The latest so-called “deal” with Iran is making headlines, but Americans shouldn’t be fooled by the glowing press and backslapping elites. The feel-good photo ops coming out of Versailles and the G-7 look more like a globalist victory lap than real progress for American safety or for peace in the Middle East. President Trump and Vice President Vance might be patting themselves on the back, but let’s not forget who we’re dealing with—Iran, the world’s number one sponsor of terror, hasn’t changed a bit.
Liberal leaders across Europe are celebrating this agreement as a huge breakthrough. But these are the same crowd that told us the disastrous Obama Iran deal would bring peace and stability. Instead, that “historic” agreement funneled pallets of cash to a brutal regime that thanks no one, except maybe the mullahs and the terrorists they bankroll. Now we’re supposed to believe that a new Memorandum of Understanding will hold the peace? Liberals drank their own Kool-Aid before, and they’re back for second helpings.
Let’s be clear: this agreement is just a Band-Aid. It might slow down Iran’s destabilizing games for a while, but it doesn’t stop their uranium enrichment or their plots to spread chaos. The same corrupt politicians hailing this “breakthrough” are usually the first to lecture America about morals while cozying up to dictators. Liberals and their globalist pals would rather appease Iran and get glowing headlines from the media than stand tough and protect freedom.
The hard truth is that Iran’s regime isn’t interested in lasting peace. They are biding their time, playing nice only until the next opportunity to undermine the West. Every American should be skeptical of any deal that relies on trust with thugs who chant “Death to America” in their streets. The liberals in charge at global summits love to congratulate themselves while ignoring the security risks Americans face back at home.
Let the world’s elites keep toasting their empty victories in Versailles. The real winners are the Iranian clerics getting a free pass to rebuild their power while the rest of us deal with the consequences. Why does the left cheer every time an American leader caves in to global pressure? Maybe some people have forgotten whose side they’re supposed to be on.
