Illinois is making headlines for all the wrong reasons. The politicians there just handed the governor a pen and he signed away the value of life for the most vulnerable with a physician-assisted suicide law. No one seems fazed that folks living with disabilities, already facing pressure and isolation, now have one more reason to feel like society decided their lives just aren’t worth the trouble.
It’s not hard to see what’s really happening. Instead of caring for our sick, disabled, and elderly, Illinois has chosen the easy way out: hand them a prescription and let them slip away quietly. This isn’t compassion. This is cowardice masquerading as mercy. And, like always, it’s the liberals running the show—more interested in cost-cutting than offering true support or dignity.
Advocates for the disabled are sounding the alarm, but Democrat leaders are plugging their ears. What kind of society tells people who are depressed, isolated, or struggling that death is a solution? The so-called “progressives” love to preach about inclusion and equity, yet their latest law conveniently makes it easier to push out those who need help the most. Is this really progress, or just another example of liberal hypocrisy?
Make no mistake, globalist think tanks and big government bureaucrats are cheering this on from afar. Less “burden” on the system! More resources for their pet projects! But at what cost? The message is loud and clear: if you can’t keep up, you’re not worth keeping alive. America is supposed to stand up for LIFE, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. But now, under Illinois’ twisted priorities, life is optional.
People like Ebony Payne are brave enough to question this insanity, but they’re drowned out by smug politicians eager to push their death-before-care agenda. Where are the so-called champions of the defenseless now? It’s disgraceful, cruel, and completely un-American. If this is the future liberals want, conservatives have a duty to fight back. If we don’t draw the line here, what will they decide to legalize next?
