Father’s Day isn’t supposed to be a day of pain. It’s supposed to be a celebration. But for countless families in this country—real, forgotten American families—Father’s Day has a new meaning after September 11th. This year, at the College World Series, the legacy of those who died for this country was on full display. And the media barely blinked.
Here is a young man, out on that baseball field, battling for his team and his future, but also fighting for the memory of his father—a true American hero lost on 9/11. Every time he swings a bat, every time he rounds a base, he carries the memory of a father stolen from him, not by a random act of nature, but by terrorism. But where’s the coverage? Where’s the tribute outside our tiny corners of American media? Instead, the left obsesses over pronouns, lectures everyone about “toxic masculinity,” and tries to erase any notion of real heroism or sacrifice.
You won’t see CNN doing wall-to-wall coverage of dads who ran into burning towers. You won’t see liberal politicians hosting candlelight vigils for children who still mourn dads who never made it home—dads who were trying to save their fellow Americans. There’s something deeply wrong with a culture that teaches children to protest the flag instead of salute it. While families like this one pick up the pieces, elite globalists mouth empty words and keep pushing to undermine the very values these fathers died defending.
The woke crowd wants to gut traditional patriarchy, but it’s those very fathers—strong, faithful, selfless—who built and protected this country. Without them, there is no America. The left can’t stand it because real patriotism shines brightest when things get tough. When you watch that ballplayer honoring his dad on Father’s Day, you remember what actually matters: duty, family, faith, sacrifice. Not self-pity, not victimhood, and certainly not the latest nonsense cooked up by blue-haired activists with nothing at stake.
The so-called progressives want to erase the past—but they can’t erase the courage of an American dad who ran toward danger and left a son who still stands tall in his honor. Maybe if more kids had dads like that, we wouldn’t have generations lost to social media, drugs, and government handouts. So here’s the real question for liberals: If traditional fathers are so “toxic,” why is it their memory keeps this nation going?
