Senator Banks moves to eliminate woke ideology from the US military

The American military is supposed to be the most powerful force on the planet, not a playground for woke ideology. But under the Biden administration, the Pentagon became a testing ground for pointless diversity, equity, and inclusion policies. These left-wing experiments did nothing to make our country safer. Instead, they divided our troops and distracted military leaders with social engineering projects that belonged in leftist universities, not in our Department of War.

Finally, real change is on the horizon. Senator Jim Banks from Indiana is taking a sledgehammer to what’s left of Biden’s DEI nonsense in the 2027 military budget. With his amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act, Banks is pushing to kick this failed agenda out of our armed forces once and for all. It’s a breath of fresh air—and a needed reminder that the military’s top job is winning wars, not ticking woke boxes.

While Democrats are busy lecturing Americans about pronouns and “equity,” our adversaries are building hypersonic missiles and plotting against us. How can anyone take the idea of “safe spaces” in the military seriously, when China and Russia have zero interest in diversity quotas or woke training sessions? Liberals say these programs make our forces stronger, but the only thing DEI has accomplished is weakening our sense of unity and mission.

For years, conservatives have warned that turning the Pentagon into a leftist experiment would lead nowhere good. We were right. Americans want a military that is lethal, focused, and unapologetically American—not an institution full of overpaid bureaucrats issuing memos about “inclusion” while the world burns. Every dollar wasted on DEI is a dollar not spent on armor, technology, or a pay raise for a hardworking soldier.

Senator Banks is doing what should have been done years ago—cutting out the rot and getting back to the basics of national defense. Maybe now, with real leadership, our military will finally remember its true mission: defending America and crushing our enemies. Isn’t it about time we put America’s security before the left’s radical social agenda?
