Los Angeles was once glamorous but socialist rule has turned it into a filthy crime-ridden disaster

Los Angeles used to be a city that inspired pride. Now it’s a global punchline. Just take a stroll through the so-called Fashion District. The city’s leaders love to pretend it rivals Milan, Paris, or New York. But step into the real thing and you’ll see filth, crime, and misery—while luxury and artistry are nowhere to be found.

This is what decades of radical leftist rule have done. Socialist politicians like Nithya Raman run around lecturing everyone about “equity” and “compassion.” Meanwhile, she’s chairing committees on homelessness while that crisis spirals totally out of control. There are more tents than tailors, more garbage than glamour. How can anyone call this a world-class city with a straight face?

It gets worse. Los Angeles has nearly double the GDP of Milan. With that kind of financial muscle, why can’t the city have nice things? The answer’s simple: corrupt leaders and their cronies are bleeding taxpayers dry through fake NGOs and pork-barrel projects. Every time voters trust another socialist, the city sinks deeper into chaos while their pals pocket the cash.

Conservatives have been warning about this for years. When someone like Spencer Pratt steps up, fights the establishment, and calls out the hypocrisy, what happens? The left machine kicks into high gear. He gets “beat” at the ballot box just as mysterious mail-in ballots surge in—always favoring the democrats, always erasing whatever gains a Republican manages to make. Funny how that works, right?

But people are waking up. The so-called elites keep lecturing the people about “progress” while the city falls apart. Enough is enough. As long as radical socialists run Los Angeles, don’t expect the Fashion District—or any neighborhood—to recover. Maybe it’s time voters asked themselves: how many more times will they let these clowns turn America’s great cities into third world disasters?
