Democratic Socialists are at it again—peddling their pie-in-the-sky schemes with absolutely no regard for basic math or common sense. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s so-called “vision” for free buses is just the latest case. He’s not only promising something impossible, but he’s borrowing the idea from a city that already nose-dived right into disaster trying it. Where do the liberals think this magic money comes from? A tree in Central Park?
Let’s get real. The city that inspired Mamdani wasn’t run by crazy conservatives with calculators. It was a playground for leftist fantasy. They decided handing out free bus rides would be their big gift to the people. Well, shocker—it didn’t take long for the cash to dry up. Turns out, when you stop charging people for a product, someone still has to pay the bills. In this case, it was the taxpayers. And guess what? The money ran out.
This is the real world, not some socialist fairy tale. You can’t just keep swiping other people’s credit cards and never pay the bill. Yet the left keeps recycling these failed ideas, shoving them down America’s throat, pretending everything will be different this time. “Trust us, we’re progressives!” They bark about fairness, but all they’re doing is taking hard-earned money from workers and families to bankroll one unsustainable boondoggle after another.
But it’s not just about economics. These far-left schemes are about power and control. Offering “free” services isn’t charity—it’s a way to hook more people on government handouts, to expand the state, and to make ordinary Americans dependent on politicians for their daily lives. That is EXACTLY how socialism spreads—under the fake banner of “rights” and “equity.” Globalists love it, because it keeps people busy fighting for crumbs while they siphon off the real wealth and freedom.
Liberals like Mamdani never learn. The rest of us pay the price for their utopian experiments, while they swoop in to take credit for “compassion” and “progress.” But when the money runs out—like it always does—who’s left holding the bag? Here’s a crazy thought for the left: why not live within your means? Then again, fiscal responsibility isn’t as flashy as empty promises. So, which city will crash and burn next when the socialist wish lists come due?
