Once again, the Senate has chosen weakness over strength. In a move that reeks of political cowardice, Senators voted to shackle President Trump’s hands when dealing with Iran. Liberals call it a “war powers resolution.” Let’s call it what it really is: a surrender flag waved high for our enemies to see.
While America’s foes plot in Tehran, Washington’s political elite are playing games. Instead of backing our Commander-in-Chief, these senators jumped at the chance to strip the President’s authority and pander to globalists and the anti-Trump mob. What happened to standing behind America’s leader? It seems Democrats would rather score cheap political points than protect American lives.
Iran is one of the most dangerous regimes in the world. Their leaders chant against America, fund terrorists, and dream of nuclear weapons. Yet, instead of letting the President strike back hard when our safety is at risk, the Senate decides to make it harder. Who benefits from that? Certainly not the citizens at home. Only Iran and our enemies are celebrating today.
We all know the real reason liberals push for these limits. It’s not about peace or principles. It’s about hating Trump and stopping him from keeping America safe. Every time the President takes a strong stand on foreign policy, the left rushes to tie his hands and apologize to dictators. Some senators would rather see America humiliated than see Trump succeed.
Liberals love talking about “checks and balances,” but turn a blind eye when their own favorite Presidents overreach. When a Republican shows real leadership, suddenly they panic. This resolution is just the latest example of that hypocrisy. The real war here isn’t with Iran—it’s with the pathetic, self-serving antics in Congress.
So here’s the question for every American: Do you want your leaders standing up for your security, or tiptoeing around in fear of what Europe or Iran might think? The Senate made their choice. Will Americans stand for it? Or are we ready to put America first, no matter what the swamp says?
