Democrats in New York’s 12th district just proved how broken their party really is. Micah Lasher, a little-known assemblyman, somehow clawed his way to the top, beating out so-called political royalty and anti-Trump darling George Conway for the Democratic nomination. Let that sink in: the grandson of John F. Kennedy, Jack Schlossberg, came up empty. Even Conway, who left the Republican Party just to get his hands on more liberal power, was sent packing. Left-wing politics eats its own.
Instead of choosing anyone with a real record or vision, Democrats went with a standard-issue party insider. That’s the left in a nutshell—more interested in playing musical chairs than actually fighting for real Americans. What does Lasher actually stand for? More bureaucracy, more taxes, and less freedom for folks watching this circus from the sidelines. It’s business as usual for a party allergic to real solutions.
Let’s not forget the pathetic pageantry of liberals propping up their beloved dynasties and “celebrities” as if voters care about last names. The Kennedy magic is long gone. Democrats love to bash conservatives for nepotism, but when it’s their own family tree, suddenly pedigree is everything. This time, the Kennedy name couldn’t save the blue team from its own incompetence.
Then you have George Conway, the famous Trump-hater and media lapdog, who bailed on the GOP just to chase clout with the Democrats. Apparently, even liberal New York didn’t want him. The left cheers for “diversity of thought,” but the second a former Republican turns up, they slam the door. Hypocrisy, plain and simple.
So here’s the choice for New Yorkers: a parade of party elites who all believe in the same failed policies, or maybe—just maybe—it’s time voters demand something different. The Democratic Party can swap faces all day long, but nothing ever changes. Are Americans really going to keep trusting these political phonies and their endless parade of empty promises?
