It’s finally happened. The Trump-deranged left just got served a massive slice of humble pie, and George Conway is the one choking on it. The media’s favorite Never Trumper, the so-called Republican “voice of reason” for the Democrats, just crashed and burned in his own desperate bid for Congress. Finishing fifth—yes, fifth—in a crowded New York City Democratic primary, Conway could barely scrape together 6% of the vote. For someone who spends every waking moment shaking his fist at Donald Trump, that’s not just embarrassing. It’s downright humiliating.
Let’s not kid ourselves. George Conway, the lawyer who co-founded the hopelessly anti-Trump Lincoln Project, has made trashing conservatives his full-time job. Instead of doing anything useful for the American people, he spent years pandering to liberal elites, hoping their approval would turn him into some kind of hero. That’s what happens when you join the swamp. The left uses you, then tosses you aside the moment you’re no longer useful.
Guess what? Regular Americans see right through this act. While liberal politicians play footsie with globalists and waste time tearing down true patriots, guys like Conway think they can win by just hating Trump loud enough. But voters want results, not virtue-signaling. New Yorkers, of all people, took a look at George Conway’s campaign and said, “Thanks, but no thanks.” It turns out spewing anti-Trump nonsense isn’t a winning platform, even in a Democrat stronghold.
Meanwhile, President Trump is having the last laugh. He’s proven, again, that the anti-American antics of the left only backfire. The more these so-called “Republicans” like Conway try to cozy up to progressives, the more obvious their hypocrisy becomes. Liberals will never accept him, no matter how loudly he bashes Trump, because at the end of the day, their only loyalty is to the radical globalist agenda.
So where does that leave George Conway now? Fifth place, all alone, rejected by the very left he thought would embrace him. Maybe next time he should try running on something other than Trump hate. Or better yet, maybe it’s time to listen to the people he’s been mocking for years. But then again, for these out-of-touch elitists, self-reflection is probably a foreign concept. How many more “conservatives” will liberals try to buy off before they realize Americans aren’t buying it?
