Hegseth Drops the Hammer at the Pentagon Top General Fired for Afghanistan Fiasco

There’s finally a thunderstorm shaking the halls of the Pentagon, and Pete Hegseth is the man bringing it. At long last, the revolving door at the highest ranks of the military is starting to spin in the right direction. The message? If you botched America’s honor overseas, don’t expect to hang on to your corner office any longer.

General Christopher Donahue, the last American soldier to stumble out of Afghanistan in that humiliating 2021 withdrawal, is now out. The request for his resignation didn’t come from some sleepy backroom committee—it came straight from Secretary Hegseth himself. Finally, someone who understands that you can’t keep promoting the same failed leadership and expect different results.

Let’s not kid ourselves: the disaster in Afghanistan was peak liberal incompetence. Our troops were left exposed, and American prestige was left in ashes. Who paid the price for that embarrassment? Until now, nobody. It’s about time that those who left the Taliban holding our weapons and left our allies desperate at the gates are finally being held to account.

Of course, the globalist class and Pentagon careerists will wail about “experience lost.” Spare us. What good is experience if it only leads to train wrecks? America doesn’t need more brass who are comfortable with losing. We need warriors who put the country’s interests first, not generals who parrot the failed policies of the Biden era and let NATO’s globalists call the shots.

With Hegseth clearing out the dead wood, maybe the next generation of military leadership will remember what winning looks like. Maybe—just maybe—America will stop apologizing for being the world’s superpower. Here’s a thought: what if we started demanding accountability from the people in charge, instead of handing them medals for failure?
