Once again, America is expected to play security guard for the world. With the FIFA World Cup headed for North America in 2026, you’d think the Department of Homeland Security would be out in front, cracking down on terrorists, cartels, and the kind of criminal scum that all too often slip across Biden’s wide-open borders. But no, the so-called top threat identified by the secretary of Homeland Security is—brace yourself—fake tickets.
Let that sink in. While crime spikes across our cities, fentanyl floods the streets, and our nation’s enemies pour over the southern border, the “biggest issue” at this globalist spectacle is humble Americans getting ripped off with counterfeit paper. Fans who shell out their hard-earned money just want to watch a soccer game. Instead, they’re apparently supposed to trust that the same federal agencies who can’t stop unvetted migrants can somehow police every scalper and hacker on the planet.
It’s laughable. The left loves to talk about “security” when it means more surveillance and more control over honest citizens, but when it really counts, their priorities are as mixed up as ever. Globalists love these massive events—full of international fanfare and virtue-signaling about “unity” and “diversity”—but when it comes time for basic law and order, they leave Americans holding the bag.
Let’s be honest. Our leaders aren’t interested in fighting the real threats anymore. They’re more concerned about embarrassing headlines and public relations disasters than keeping Americans safe. If you can’t keep thousands of bogus tickets off the market, how, exactly, are you going to handle—God forbid—an actual attack?
Maybe we just need to start demanding American priorities for American events—security that actually keeps out criminals, not just harmless soccer fans unlucky enough to grab a fake ticket online. Are we going to keep letting this parade of incompetence and distraction pass for leadership? Or will real Americans finally wake up and demand a country that takes itself—and our safety—seriously?
