Caracas reduced to rubble as socialism turns deadly earthquake into unspeakable tragedy

Caracas looks like a war zone. Two massive earthquakes—back-to-back and both bigger than seven on the Richter scale—shattered Venezuela’s capital, leaving nothing but twisted metal and piles of rubble. Reports say up to 100,000 people might be dead. It’s pure horror. Buildings are flattened, streets are split open, terrified families are searching for anyone left alive. This is the cost of years of socialist mismanagement meeting Mother Nature’s fury.

People shouldn’t fool themselves: what made this disaster worse wasn’t just the earthquakes. For years, the socialist regime in Venezuela pocketed cash, let infrastructure rot, and laughed while the people suffered. Now, just when these shattered families needed sturdy buildings and real leadership, all they got was chaos. So-called progressive “leaders” promised a worker’s paradise. Instead, they handed the people death traps and despair.

And who has to pick up the pieces? As usual, it’s the United States sending in help—generous, strong, reliable. But you won’t see globalists or the radical Left admit that. For them, blaming America is a full-time job, but when real destruction hits, suddenly they expect the US taxpayer to foot the bill. Where are the “woke” celebrities and the anti-American activists now? Too busy posting hashtags to help dig people out of ruins?

It might be nature that shook Caracas, but it’s socialism and corruption that turned it into a graveyard. The sad truth: Venezuela’s ruling elite only ever cared about staying in power, not about safe hospitals or emergency plans. These are the same failed leftist ideas the global Left wants to import here. Americans should take note—weak leadership and big government are a recipe for disaster, not just in distant countries but right at home.

So while we pray for the Venezuelan people, it’s time to ask the real question: How many times do we have to watch socialist experiments end in blood and rubble before liberals admit they don’t work? The Left can run, but they can’t hide from the truth forever.
