The WNBA Is Proving It Hates Winning—And Caitlin Clark
The WNBA had a chance to become more than a punchline. When Caitlin Clark—the star that everyone actually wants to watch—joined the league, most people thought women’s basketball might finally matter. But the woke gatekeepers running the show had a different idea. Instead of using Clark’s popularity to breathe life into an irrelevant league, the WNBA has treated her like some sort of enemy. If the league actually cared about growing, they’d protect, promote, and celebrate their one real superstar. Instead, they’re doing the exact opposite.
Hard to believe? Look at what’s happened this season: Clark gets assaulted on the court—no call. Alyssa Thomas goes for a full-on throat punch, but the referees look the other way. Try that in the NBA and you’d be ejected. In the WNBA, you get a pat on the back for taking down the biggest draw since, well, ever. This isn’t just bad sportsmanship. It’s a league openly telling its audience: “We don’t want your attention.”
The disrespect goes even further. The WNBA just celebrated its 30th anniversary with a big campaign. Guess who they left out? That’s right, the one player actually putting eyeballs on their sad excuse for entertainment. Maybe they’re jealous. Or maybe, just maybe, this is what happens when a far-left bubble cannot stand anyone who doesn’t fit their social justice narrative. They claim to champion women, but God forbid one emerges who’s actually better than the rest and doesn’t bow to their club.
Meanwhile, the media runs wild with cover stories instead of asking tough questions. Clark leaves the game with a supposed “back issue.” Sure. Liberal journalists don’t care about what’s really going on—they’d rather protect the status quo than deal with the possibility that the league’s racism and petty politics are hurting their only hope at relevance. It doesn’t fit the narrative, so they just look away.
Let’s be honest: the only reason the WNBA is still around is because the NBA keeps shoveling cash into its empty stands. Without that support, the entire operation would fold faster than Biden trying to form a sentence. The WNBA clearly hates its golden goose, and if fans and real sports lovers actually paid attention, they’d see the league for what it is—a taxpayer-propped joke hostile to anyone who doesn’t kneel before its politics. How much longer will people put up with this clown show?
