New Yorkers just got a front row seat to another episode of “Democrats Eat Their Own.” Adriano Espaillat, once a rising star among New York liberals, threw his support behind Zohran Mamdani for Mayor. Now, with Mamdani’s radical reign in full swing, Espaillat’s career is toast—and honestly, nobody should be surprised.
The lesson here? Trusting a Democratic Socialist is like trusting a scorpion not to sting you. It doesn’t matter how loyal you are, how much you pander, or how deep your woke credentials run. At the end of the day, these socialists see everyone—yes, even their so-called allies—as expendable on their power trip. Loyal Democrats think standing shoulder to shoulder with the far-left will protect them, but it only makes them easier targets.
This is what happens when mainstream Democrats make deals with the radicals in their own party. They invite the wolves in, thinking they’re taming them, but end up as lunch. Espaillat thought he was building an alliance. In reality, he was just digging his own political grave.
Communists have always used the soft, gullible left to get their foot in the door. Once inside, they take over, remake everything in their image, and anyone who gets in the way is simply discarded. New York City, under Mamdani’s socialist regime, is about to find out just how much damage these radical policies can unleash. The city that never sleeps is now asleep at the wheel—and driving straight off a socialist cliff.
Liberals didn’t want to listen. Now they’re paying the price, and it’s only going to get worse. How many more Democrats have to be thrown under the bus before they realize the scorpion’s sting is never accidental?
