Liberals panic over puddles while real Americans struggle as cities crumble and prices soar

Liberals these days seem obsessed with puddles and puddle-deep thinking. Just look at their latest fixation: the DC Reflecting Pool. Instead of focusing on our crumbling cities, rising prices, and open borders, they’re fighting over a glorified pond. This is what happens when left-wing elites run out of real ideas. They turn to spectacles and symbolism, hoping people won’t notice what a mess this country is in under their watch.

Some leftist commentators rant about how this stretch of water holds epic “power” because it reflects their own warped narrative wars. Apparently, if the pool isn’t sparkling, it means some conservative failed. But when liberals stumble, blame is thrown everywhere except themselves—or their precious “symbols.” Never mind that real Americans can’t afford groceries. For the liberal chattering class, the state of a decorative pool is headline news.

Take Donald Trump as an example. When he stands proud and patriotic on the National Mall, liberals scramble to twist even his triumphs into failures. Why? Because they’re terrified of real leadership and real results. They cling to marble statues and stagnant water to distract from the chaos their policies create. These people are more comfortable debating metaphors than rebuilding our economy or enforcing our laws.

The sad truth is, the more these elites obsess over shiny reflections and invisible “narratives,” the more they reveal their own emptiness. The left refuses to address crime, inflation, and globalist giveaways. They’d rather wage make-believe wars over tourist attractions than fix anything that actually matters to working families. It’s embarrassing, especially when the world is watching.

So here’s a thought for those who think the Reflecting Pool is America’s conscience: maybe it’s time to step away from the mirror and get back to work. Or is it just easier for liberals to gaze at their own reflection and ignore the disaster around them?
