When authorities caught Angie Báez—a supposed “diversity” expert—brazenly stealing Knicks merchandise out of a trash can, it felt like the whole rotten DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) movement got dumped out right onto the sidewalk. A professional activist who spent years telling people she’s morally superior, caught red-handed like a petty thief. You can’t make this up.
But is anybody really surprised? The DEI machine has carved out a world where personal responsibility is shoved aside. Following rules or respecting other people’s property? That’s old-fashioned. Instead, folks like Báez walk around with a sense of entitlement bigger than Madison Square Garden. Steal something? Blame the system, or worse, demand praise for your “lived experience.” That’s the game these social justice warriors play—rules for thee, not for me.
Let’s be clear: this isn’t just about some missing Knicks gear. It speaks to a much deeper rot in our institutions. People who make a living pushing DEI in schools, offices, and government believe they’re above consequences. They preach fairness and “equity,” but what they really want is power and special treatment for themselves. When they get caught, they act like victims and try to rewrite the narrative. It’s hypocrisy at its finest—and every law-abiding New Yorker gets to suffer for it.
The city’s leadership eats this up. Liberals bend over backwards to defend arrogance under the DEI umbrella, claiming their policies bring justice. But look around—has a single street become safer? Have honest people been rewarded? The only thing spreading is chaos and resentment. The globalists cheering on this circus don’t care that regular Americans pay the price. They just want control.
How much more of this nonsense are real New Yorkers supposed to take? At what point will someone finally admit that “equity” without accountability is just an excuse for bad behavior? If radicals like Báez are the face of progress, then it’s no mystery why the city feels broken.
