The Palisades wildfires tore through Los Angeles. Lives changed, property destroyed, people scared for their own homes. Now, after two days of jury talks, the case against the man accused of starting this nightmare is at a standstill. The jury can’t even come to a decision. This is California “justice,” liberal-style: delays, confusion, and nobody taking real responsibility.
Is anyone even surprised? When a city is run by out-of-touch progressives, this is what you get. It’s no wonder criminals think they can act without consequences—especially when everyone’s so focused on “equity” or “restorative justice.” What about justice for the innocent folks who lost their homes? What about the families picking through the ashes of their destroyed lives? Liberals love to preach about “community,” but the only community they care about is criminals getting another free pass.
Instead of swift punishment for dangerous acts, this trial drags on. Maybe the jury is too scared to make the “wrong” decision—afraid of offending the latest left-wing cause. Or maybe after years of “defund the police” nonsense, even holding an arsonist accountable seems too old-fashioned for California. The left has managed to break the basic idea of right and wrong.
And let’s not pretend this chaos is just bad luck. Open borders, weak prosecution, and globalist priorities have turned American cities into disaster zones. When elites worry more about carbon credits than hard-working families, this is the result. People’s lives become collateral damage for the next feel-good, do-nothing “social justice” campaign.
When will Californians demand real accountability? Or are they content to watch lawbreakers walk free while law-abiding citizens pay the price—again? One thing is crystal clear: this is what happens when you let the left run your state, your city, and your courts. Are Americans going to keep letting the inmates run the asylum?
