Democrat-run states love to cry “democracy” at every turn—until it’s time to actually protect the process. This week, the Trump administration finally called the left’s bluff on mail-in voting. The Postmaster General told states blocking access to their voter rolls: cooperate, or you’re not getting mail-in ballots. It’s the kind of common-sense move this country is starving for after years of Democrat election games.
The left will howl about lawsuits, but that’s what liberals do when they’re not getting their way. Instead of following simple rules—like making sure only eligible citizens vote—they rush straight to activist judges, hoping some unelected official will rubber-stamp their political trickery. They’re more interested in producing ballots than protecting ballots.
All this started with President Trump’s executive order demanding real verification for mail-in ballots. The order said states had to submit updated lists so only real citizens received ballots, not dead people or phantom voters. The Democrats’ response? Hysterics. They’d rather protect shoddy state databases than actually make sure Americans’ voices are heard fairly. No surprise there—after all, clean elections don’t fit the progressive agenda.
Of course, the activist court system didn’t waste any time stepping in to shield Democrats. A federal judge up in Massachusetts rushed to block big parts of Trump’s order, declaring that states—no matter how corrupt or incompetent they are—get to run elections their own way. Apparently, protecting the right to cheat is more important than defending the right to vote.
This is exactly what happens when left-wing lawyers and globalist interests control the system. Republicans are fighting for voter ID and trustworthy elections, but Democrats scream “racism” or “authoritarianism” every time someone tries to actually enforce the law. The question Americans should be asking: if Democrats are so convinced their ideas are popular, why are they so terrified of honest elections?
