Hakeem Jeffries tried to save one of his allies—a five-term congressman who led the Hispanic Caucus. Didn’t matter. Another Jeffries favorite, who acted like New York’s ruling class always will, was trounced by a career bureaucrat with an even bigger progressive agenda.
Three districts that once belonged to Democrats who tried to play it safe have been swallowed up by true believers in the socialist cause. They think breadlines are a feature, not a bug. They want open borders, higher taxes, and “equity” by force. This is not some fringe rant—it’s now the new base of the Democratic Party, especially in leftist strongholds like New York City.
Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries are reaping exactly what they planted. For years, they pandered to the radicals, hoping to collect their votes but never expecting to have to live under their boot. Well, the joke’s on them. When you appease the mob, eventually the mob takes your seat. While these clueless leaders played their power games, the socialists they enabled were busy organizing, fundraising, and plotting their takeover.
