The political establishment strikes again—this time in Alaska, trying to play games with democracy and the ballot box. But thankfully, a Superior Court judge just stepped in and called their bluff. For weeks, the bureaucrats at Alaska’s Division of Elections twisted themselves in knots, trying to keep conservative candidate Dan J. Sullivan, Jr. off the ballot. Their excuse? Apparently, sharing a name with Senator Dan S. Sullivan was just too much for voters to handle. Give us a break. Does anyone really believe Americans are too dumb to tell the difference between two candidates just because they have similar names?
This entire episode reeks of liberal manipulation and dirty tricks. Whenever a genuine conservative patriot rises up and dares to challenge the good old boys’ club, the left and their allies in government always seem to discover some “technicality” to keep them out. Their so-called “safeguards” are nothing but roadblocks for honest Americans who want real representation, not business-as-usual politicians.
Now, after attempts to rig the field, the judge has forced the bureaucrats to put Dan J. Sullivan, Jr. back on the ballot. The people of Alaska will get to see his name right alongside Senator Dan S. Sullivan. This is exactly how democracy is supposed to work: give the voters choices, and don’t let swampy insiders decide behind closed doors.
What’s truly stunning is the utter disrespect elite officials have for the voters. They act as if Alaskans—like millions of Americans across the country—are helpless children who can’t make up their own minds. The arrogance is unbearable. Progressives love to babble about “freedom” and “fairness,” but when it comes time to let the people decide, they’ll do anything they can to keep power in the hands of their pals. They don’t want competition, they want control.
Maybe this ruling is the start of something bigger—a real pushback against the anti-American, globalist nonsense infecting every level of government. Are we going to stand by and let corrupt officials silence conservatives, or will we fight for leaders who represent actual Americans? The judge got it right this time. Let’s hope Alaska leads the way and reminds the rest of the country that the ballot box belongs to the people—not to the machine.
