The media’s favorite con game is once again on full display in New York’s 13th Congressional District. This time, the big players at the top—those who love to call themselves defenders of democracy—sat on a ticking time bomb of information about Darializa Avila Chevalier. She’s not just any Democrat. She’s a fire-breathing Democratic Socialist who wants to wipe out the police, throw open America’s borders, nationalize entire industries, and somehow managed to add “opposes interracial marriage” to her far-left resume. Yet, shockingly, the so-called journalists knew all this, and chose to keep voters in the dark.
Let’s not pretend the facts weren’t right in front of them. Top-tier reporters had every detail about Chevalier’s radical record long before she clinched her primary win. But instead of sounding the alarm—like they would if a conservative so much as sneezed on social media a decade ago—the mainstream media ran cover. Their pre-election coverage was buried as a lifestyle piece, treating Chevalier’s extremist rants as nothing but campaign drama. Not disqualifying, not dangerous—just another day in the life of a millennial politician.
When the dust settled and Chevalier emerged as the Democrats’ pick in a rock-solid blue seat, suddenly those same outlets found her social media antics newsworthy. Only now, when there’s no risk of changing the outcome, do they pretend to care. That’s not journalism. It’s narrative rigging. The double standard is obvious: for conservatives, every off-color comment is a headline; for radicals on the left, it rarely even makes page five.
The sad truth? The Democratic Party is being hijacked before our eyes. The so-called Democratic Socialists are using the party as their own Trojan horse. Their own leaders are bragging about it. They run as Democrats, join Democrat caucuses, and then work to erase American values from within. And what do the media elites do? Cheer them on, because beating Trump is their only real goal—even if it means letting radicals define the future.
This isn’t just about one election. It’s a pattern. Conservatives are hunted for every past remark, while truly dangerous ideologies on the left get a free pass. The media elite sit high on their pedestal, acting as if the monster they unleashed won’t eventually turn on them. How long before their own side comes knocking at their door?
If the left really cares about democracy, maybe it’s time they stop acting as stenographers for radicals and start asking: when does the wall get built for them?
