Liberals love to say LA is all about “progress.” But just look at what decades of their rule have done: endless homeless encampments, dirty streets, and failing schools. Now, in a desperate bid to seem relevant, a former mayoral candidate like Spencer Pratt wants to talk about Art Deco buildings—yes, really. Apparently, saving LA now means gushing about architecture instead of facing real problems or doing the hard work of governing.
Let’s be honest, Art Deco is beautiful. These buildings remind us of a different America, when we built bold, inspiring things instead of apologizing for our own success. But while conservatives appreciate beauty and history, the left only cares about tearing down anything that reminds them of traditional values. For years, Democrats shoved ugly, soulless concrete boxes across the city all in the name of “progress,” and now they want credit for remembering what real beauty looks like? Please.
Pratt’s sudden interest in Art Deco charm is just another liberal distraction. They’d rather talk about fancy facades than fix the rot inside City Hall. Meanwhile, families worry about crime, traffic nightmares, and what their kids are being taught in school. But hey, at least our city skyline is Instagram-worthy—if you can get past the tents and graffiti.
This whole charade exposes the hollow priorities of the left. Liberals love to lecture everyone about “community” while ignoring the fact that their policies have destroyed neighborhoods and driven the middle class out of LA. They chase after globalist ideas and trendy aesthetics, but refuse to deal with the everyday struggles of working Americans who actually live in this city.
It’s time for leaders who value results, not just appearances. LA doesn’t need more hashtags about architecture. It needs conservative leadership—people who care about real safety, good jobs, and restoring actual greatness. Maybe when the left is done admiring the décor, they’ll remember who built this city in the first place.
