The Supreme Court just handed another gift to the left. In a thin 5-4 ruling, the justices decided that Mississippi can keep counting mail-in ballots days after Election Day, as long as they’re postmarked on time. That’s right—another loophole for Democrats to exploit, and another slap in the face for anyone who actually believes in free and fair elections.
Let’s be clear: Election Day means Election DAY, not Election Week or Election Month. Congress made that law back in 1845 for a reason—so we don’t have ballots trickling in whenever the wind blows. If Americans can’t be bothered to mail their ballots on time, why should the rest of us have to sit around wondering if the results will magically flip days later? This isn’t about “voter access”—it’s about chaos, confusion, and opening the door for fraud.
And once again, so-called “conservative” justices turned tail and joined the liberals. Amy Coney Barrett—who was supposed to be a voice of reason and the rule of law—crossed the aisle to prop up the kind of sloppy voting that made 2020 such a circus. It’s outrageous. Our side goes to the Supreme Court to get a fair shake, and what do we get? Backstabbed by the people we fought to put on the bench.
But don’t expect the left to stop at Mississippi. More than a dozen states have these same wild-west rules for late-arriving ballots. If the Supreme Court won’t even enforce the simplest deadlines, what’s next? Will they let people vote a week late if there’s a snowstorm? Why don’t we just let California and New York count ballots until their side wins? The radical left loves nothing more than moving the goalposts whenever it suits their agenda.
Mail-in voting was a COVID-era panic policy. The pandemic is over. Anyone still pushing pandemic voting rules is either incompetent, lazy, or wants to rig the system. If Republicans don’t wake up and fight back, we’ll keep losing close races and get lectured about “democracy” by people who don’t even want real election security.
If Election Day doesn’t mean Election Day anymore, why have elections at all? Maybe that’s exactly what the Democrats want.
