America just witnessed a major victory for common sense—and for President Trump. The Supreme Court, finally getting back to defending the Constitution, has handed down a ruling that empowers the president to do what voters elected him to do: clean house. It’s about time Washington’s so-called “independent” bureaucrats got a wake-up call. For too long, out-of-control commissions like the FTC have felt free to push their own agenda, answer to no one, and ignore the will of the American people.
Liberals are already up in arms, whining that Trump shouldn’t be able to fire those who refuse to carry out his policies. But what did they expect? Elections have consequences. Trump was elected to carry out his agenda, not to be held hostage by unelected, left-wing operatives sitting in fancy offices dreaming up ways to block his every move. When bureaucrats decide they’re more powerful than the president, the system is broken.
This ruling is a blow to the deep state. The left’s favorite trick is to bury their pals in powerful jobs and then claim they’re untouchable. Apparently, they believe the president should just sit back and accept sabotage from within. Sorry, that’s not how America works. The president needs people he can actually trust—not more government insiders plotting to protect their own power at the expense of hardworking taxpayers.
The decision isn’t just a win for President Trump—it’s a win for everyone sick and tired of arrogant Washington elites. Why should voters put their faith in a president if he can’t even pick his own team? The Democrats seem to think the will of the people—the actual voters—can just be ignored whenever it suits their globalist, big-government dreams.
You have to wonder: why are Democrats fighting so hard to defend bureaucrats no one voted for? Maybe because, deep down, they know that when Trump is free to lead, Americans win. When was the last time one of these “independent” elites did anything for Main Street? This is the kind of leadership America deserves. Maybe now, we can finally drain the swamp for good.
