Another tragedy has hit our borders, and, once again, the fingerprints of open-border insanity are all over it. This time, a man who holds both Canadian and American citizenship admitted to being the mastermind behind a deadly illegal alien smuggling scheme. That’s right—a so-called “dual citizen”—one foot in, one foot out, and apparently, not much loyalty to either nation.
It’s impossible to ignore the dangers crawling out of the shadows thanks to leftist refusal to enforce immigration law. Criminals now view smuggling as a business opportunity, not a risky crime. This guy, shielded by his privileged status and cross-border connections, was free to run an operation that ended with bloodshed. Where were the so-called compassionate liberals while this horror unfolded? Too busy virtue signaling about “welcoming everyone” and avoiding the tough conversations about border security, that’s where.
Liberals love to cry racism any time Americans demand secure borders. But it’s America’s own citizens—and countless innocent lives—who pay the price for their reckless policies. When criminals slip through the cracks, and tragedy strikes, all we get from the left is silence. The globalist elite hand-wring about “fairness” and “equity,” but it’s just window dressing for their anti-American agenda.
Let’s face it: the border is out of control, and it’s gotten worse because the left refuses to get real about immigration. Smugglers and gangsters are running the show, and ordinary Americans are left to deal with the consequences. All those “progressive” policies have created a system where everyone is protected—except for the people who actually belong here.
How many more deadly schemes have to unfold before someone in Washington wakes up? When Canadians and Americans are colluding to smuggle people across our borders with fatal results, maybe it’s finally time to put American lives first. Or is it too much to hope the left will ever wake up and defend their own country?
