Evers begs DC for rail millions after snubbing feds on voter fraud crackdown—Wisconsin stunned

Wisconsin’s liberal governor Tony Evers might have just won the award for biggest political nerve of the year. After stonewalling federal requests for basic voter roll and SNAP data, Evers is now marching right back to Washington with his hand out. He wants federal grant money to dump into a so-called “high-speed” rail project that nobody asked for and almost nobody will use. How’s that for arrogance?

For conservatives, this is classic blue state maneuvering—demand endless federal taxpayer dollars while refusing to play by the rules. The left talks about “accountability,” but when their own team is in the hot seat, suddenly transparency goes out the window. Evers and his administration flat out ignored federal requests for information that could help catch fraud and keep elections honest. Now he thinks the same federal officials should bankroll his pet train? Give the guy a Golden Globe for “Best Performance in Political Hypocrisy.”

Remember, this same rail boondoggle has already been rejected once. Back in 2011, Governor Scott Walker trashed the project for what it was—a taxpayer sinkhole that does nothing for most Wisconsinites. But liberals like Evers just can’t let a bad idea die. Instead, they keep pushing for these shiny, costly projects that look good in glossy mailers but wind up draining wallets and serving few people. Milwaukee’s streetcar fiasco already wasted millions. Now Evers thinks the answer is to double down and spread that same waste across the state.

Let’s be honest: a new train isn’t going to attract workers or businesses to Wisconsin. America needs sound infrastructure, not another liberal fantasy land packed with empty railcars and bloated government spending. The only people moving into states like this are bureaucrats, not hardworking families. And if far-left radicals like Francesca Hong get their way, Wisconsin could end up driving out the few workers they have left.

The Trump administration has every reason to toss Evers’ request into the nearest trash can. Why give federal money to politicians who refuse to follow the law? Liberals can’t play both sides—sooner or later, the bill comes due. Maybe next time, Evers can borrow a train to deliver the voter data himself.
