California’s leadership just can’t help themselves. After throwing billions down the drain on a so-called “high-speed rail” that still hasn’t gotten anywhere, now the woke crowd in Sacramento wants high-speed buses. That’s right—buses, but somehow faster, as if slapping the word “high-speed” on fiascos magically makes them work. Apparently, no one in charge learned a thing from the epic train disaster that’s run over budget, over schedule, and underwhelmed everyone except the special interests who got paid.
The liberals pushing this plan still cling to their fantasy world, where endless taxpayer dollars solve all problems. They refuse to admit their climate obsessions and failed policies have already made California a nightmare for regular Americans. They ignore potholed roads, homelessness, and crime, and instead dream up shiny new schemes like a “bullet bus.” It’s laughable. The state hasn’t even fixed their broken trains, but they think buses are the answer? It almost sounds like a Saturday Night Live skit—if only it weren’t real life, and taxpayers weren’t footing the bill.
Let’s be honest: high-speed anything in California is a big, expensive joke. Years of leftist “solutions” have only led to higher taxes and lower quality of life. The politicos behind these crazy ideas act like money grows on trees. They never learn. Their priorities have nothing to do with common sense and everything to do with chasing their green, globalist pie-in-the-sky dreams, all while real Californians are stuck in gridlock or skipping town for saner states.
What do they even mean by “high-speed bus,” anyway? Are they putting rocket boosters on city buses now? Or is this a way to pour cash into the same old union hands and boutique consulting firms? It’s hard not to laugh. California’s failed rail project should have made them pump the brakes. Instead, they’re pushing the pedal to the floor—straight into another budget disaster.
Maybe one day, California’s leaders will wake up and put real Americans ahead of their political pet projects. But don’t bet on it. When wasting taxpayer money becomes your only real talent, why change?
