It’s not every day that a Hollywood liberal accidentally pulls back the curtain on just how broken and toxic the modern Left has become. But that’s exactly what happened when Mayim Bialik aired her frustrations about today’s so-called “progressive” crowd—a crowd that won’t even tolerate a lifelong Democrat with questions about their increasingly radical dogma.
Let’s get something straight: Bialik is no right-winger. She practically brags about her bleeding-heart liberal credentials. But that wasn’t enough to save her from the cancel mob when she started to raise common-sense concerns during COVID. She questioned school and church closures. She wondered if the torch-and-pitchfork response to dissent made any sense. Her reward? Being branded a traitor in her own home, accused of turning “Republican”—as if that’s some sort of dirty word.
That’s the Left today. Dissent isn’t just frowned upon. It’s hunted down and exiled. We now have radical activists attacking their own, judging people’s “queerness” or political loyalty based on where they stand on Israel or which protests they approve of. Even Scott Wiener, a far-left Democrat, isn’t radical enough for these self-appointed woke judges. Not enough outrage against Israel? Suddenly, you’re a villain. There’s no room for thought, reason, or even basic debate. Either you fall in line—or you’re next to be ostracized.
It gets worse. After the October 7th attacks, antisemitism didn’t just crawl out of the woodwork—it came charging. Jews like Bialik began living in real fear. Gone are the days when Hollywood elites could count on their progressive shield. Suddenly, being vocal about Jewish identity or unwilling to bash Israel made people like Bialik and her children targets. She faced intimidation in public, surrounded by people flaunting “Zionism is racism” slogans. Ordinary moms and kids are being threatened in parking lots, and the so-called “tolerant Left” just looks away—or worse, joins in.
Here’s the hard truth: the mask is off. The radical Left doesn’t want unity, dialogue, or compassion. They want blind obedience. They’ll eat their own if it means enforcing purity tests and globalist groupthink. They claim to stand for “democracy,” but can’t handle the simplest disagreement. If the Left can’t even protect their own from hatred and mob rule, why would any sane American trust them with our freedoms or our future? Maybe it’s time the rest of the country asked: who’s really intolerant here?
