Pakistan has once again shown what happens when government puts power and military might before the basic needs of its people. The country just passed a budget that will let its defense spending soar even higher, all while millions of Pakistani kids are left out in the cold—without a school to learn in, or even hope for a better future.
This isn’t some temporary oversight or a one-off bad year. Pakistan’s defense budget has been climbing steadily for half a decade. They never seem to run out of cash when it comes to the latest tanks or fighter jets. But ask them to fund reading and math for the next generation—and suddenly there’s no money left. It’s a sad joke, and the punchline is always paid by the poor and powerless in that country.
Liberals and globalists love to preach about “world cooperation” and “foreign aid.” Yet they keep funneling support to governments like Pakistan’s, hoping for Western-style democracy to somehow bloom in the desert. Instead, corrupt politicians fatten their military budgets and leave their own kids unanalyzed, illiterate, and easy to manipulate. How many times do we have to see the same disaster before the left wakes up?
While classrooms crumble and young minds rot, Pakistan’s ruling class hides behind high walls and armored cars, smugly thumbing their noses at the rest of the world. All that “progressive” aid money just fuels the vicious cycle—more guns, less knowledge. It’s the same old story: the elites get fatter, the children get poorer, and the West gets played for fools.
When will America finally stop playing along? Why aren’t liberal leaders calling out this insanity? Maybe they’re too busy apologizing for America’s “privilege” to notice the real suffering their failed foreign policies create. If Pakistan really cared about its future, it would put books ahead of bombs. Until then, we should stop sending even a penny their way. Why bankroll a nation that cares more about war games than its own children’s dreams?
