The Supreme Court is supposed to protect the Constitution, not twist it to fit a far-left agenda. Yet once again, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson proves that the modern left isn’t interested in fact or history. In a recent ruling on birthright citizenship, she went after Justice Clarence Thomas with accusations so outlandish, they reveal the left’s real game: smear anyone who stands in their way.
Let’s be clear—this case was about the children of illegal aliens born in America. Common sense tells us that American citizenship should mean something more than just arriving here at the last second, or breaking the law to get across the border. But the liberal justices love to hand out citizenship like candy. Then, when a true constitutionalist like Clarence Thomas dares to apply real legal reasoning, they tar and feather him with the ugliest labels they can imagine.
Instead of honest debate, Jackson accused Thomas of wanting to drag the country back to some of the darkest moments in American legal history. She all but compared him to the architects of the Dred Scott decision—a sickening charge, especially since Thomas has spent his entire career fighting for real justice and equal rights. This is the same tired playbook: leftists cry “racism” or invoke long-dead injustices any time someone stands up for American sovereignty and the rule of law.
Doesn’t it speak volumes that the left’s newest hero can’t win an argument without resorting to slander? Liberals act like they care about immigrants, but what they really want is a future Democratic voting bloc that will thank them for open borders and unchecked benefits. Meanwhile, globalist elites sip lattes and mock anyone who dares to value national security or the meaning of citizenship. The American people see the hypocrisy—and they’re tired of being insulted.
When will these so-called progressives stop painting their opponents as villains and actually defend their positions with reason and respect? The answer is simple: they won’t, because their ideas can’t survive honest debate. Americans are waking up. If defending the Constitution makes you a villain in the left’s eyes, then maybe it’s time to wear that badge with pride.
