The Supreme Court let down America this week. Once again, instead of standing up for the integrity of our borders and the rule of law, a majority of the justices caved to the radical left’s twisted view of our Constitution. Birthright citizenship for children of illegal aliens and “birth tourists” continues—handing out the greatest gift in the world to people who break our laws. That wasn’t the vision of our Founders. It’s a globalist scam, and it needs to end.
But here’s the surprising twist: Justice Brett Kavanaugh, while voting with the majority to strike down Trump’s order, showed real backbone. He actually bothered to read the Fourteenth Amendment with some common sense—which is more than we can say for the open borders crowd. Kavanaugh pointed out what should be obvious: The men who wrote our Constitution could never have imagined an America where swarm after swarm of illegal immigrants sneak in, have kids, and instantly win citizenship for their whole family.
He also spotlighted the insanity of rewarding law-breakers over law-abiders. Why should a child born to parents who snuck across the border get American citizenship, while a child whose family follows the rules is forced to wait years? Only a liberal could look at that logic and call it “justice.” The entire left-wing legal class ignores how this backwards policy encourages people to break our immigration laws, hurting working Americans and spitting in the face of sovereignty.
Kavanaugh did what too many in Washington are too cowardly to do: He outlined a path for Congress to fix this mess. Congress has the power to make exceptions for people in the country illegally or here only temporarily. If our lawmakers had any spine, they’d pass that bill tomorrow. But let’s be honest—Democrats love open borders, and too many Republicans are owned by their corporate donors who want cheap labor and broken systems.
Of course, the liberal legal machine is waiting, drooling for any excuse to sue and shove this nightmare back to the courts. Roberts and Barrett probably won’t help—history says they’ll keep making up excuses to do nothing. But Kavanaugh’s message is crystal clear: Change has to come from Congress, not another empty executive order. If Congress refuses, then they’re choosing globalism over patriotism, lawlessness over order.
Why should America keep letting activist judges and feckless politicians hand out citizenship by accident of geography? When will the so-called leaders in Congress start fighting for American families instead of illegal aliens? The system is rigged, but the solution is right in front of us—if only Washington’s elites cared more about this country than about pleasing the woke mob or fattening their wallets.
