Washington bureaucrats finally pushed through something useful—the “21st Century ROAD to Housing Act” got a green light from both Republicans and Democrats. Of course, everyone’s patting themselves on the back, but here’s the real test: will the liberal kingpins in California actually do what’s needed to make this work? Or will they just make things worse, like usual?
Let’s be honest. California was once the land of dreams. People moved there for opportunity. But decades of left-wing nonsense have turned it into a living nightmare. Thanks to sky-high taxes, mountains of red tape, and anti-business laws, it’s almost impossible for regular folks to afford a decent place to live. The only ones getting rich are big developers and government cronies.
This new federal housing bill actually gives states some real tools to fight the affordability crisis. But California can ruin anything. If Sacramento doesn’t cut its own mess of regulations, this cash will go straight into the same broken system—lining the pockets of well-connected insiders instead of building homes for working families. Liberals talk nonstop about “equity,” but when it’s time to step up, their snobby regulations lock average people out.
What really burns is watching California politicians pretend to care while running off to their gated mansions. They scream about homelessness, but refuse to toss out failed policies or let anyone build new houses. They blame the federal government, corporations, or “greedy landlords,” but refuse to accept that their own leftist agenda created this disaster.
Republicans kept their word and helped pass a bipartisan solution. Now the ball is in California’s court. Will the woke elites finally get out of the way and let Americans live the lives they deserve—or are they too obsessed with virtue-signaling and hugging trees to notice the human suffering right in front of their eyes?
