Once again, it takes a massive show of force to crack down on criminal gangs in Southern California, while liberal politicians keep acting like everything is under control. This week, law enforcement swarmed the Figueroa Corridor and smashed a violent gang that’s been running sex trafficking, drugs, and worse through the heart of Los Angeles. Eighteen suspected criminals—all part of a vicious network—are behind bars for peddling misery on American streets, right under the noses of so-called “progressive” leaders.
Where were the Democrats while this was happening? Too busy lecturing working Americans about tolerance and “equity” to bother lifting a finger against those who make our cities more dangerous. The left’s obsession with soft-on-crime policies has been a gift to these predator gangs. Sanctuary laws, radical prosecutors, and campaigns to defund police have opened the doors to chaos—leaving vulnerable women and children to pay the price.
It’s not just sex trafficking, either. These thugs were laundering money and flooding our neighborhoods with drugs. The paperwork tells you everything: federal agents, the IRS, and Homeland Security had to work together just to get these guys off the street. Regular cops aren’t allowed to do their jobs with political shackles on their wrists. It shouldn’t take an army of agencies just to enforce the law in America’s second-largest city.
This operation shows what conservatives have warned about all along: gangs, cartels, and traffickers thrive in the power vacuums created by failed liberal “compassion.” The left cries crocodile tears for victims, yet their own policies breed more victimhood. The Figueroa Corridor has become a symbol for what happens when politicians are more worried about “restorative justice” than actual safety. Who benefits? Not the families or businesses stuck in the crossfire.
If only the ruling class spent as much energy protecting citizens as they do protecting criminals. Maybe then Los Angeles wouldn’t need an army just to keep the streets safe. How many more raids like “Operation Broken Blade” will it take before someone in a blue suit finally admits that conservative law-and-order policies work? Or are they waiting for the whole city to fall?
