The Justice Department is finally stepping up to challenge California’s out-of-control handgun roster and their ridiculous Glock ban. For years, gun-grabbing politicians in the Golden State have done everything they can to smother Second Amendment rights. They come up with excuse after excuse, from “safety” requirements no one else in America bothers with, to flat-out banning firearms that millions of law-abiding Americans use for self-defense every day. But the winds are changing. America’s gun owners are starting to win again.

Thanks to recent court decisions, especially the game-changing Bruen ruling, the legal deck is finally stacked in favor of freedom—and against anti-gun elites in places like California and New York. The courts are calling out these states for throwing up illegal roadblocks against ordinary people who just want to protect their families and property. It’s about time. Americans have watched out-of-touch politicians hide behind armed guards, all while telling regular folks to squash their rights and trust the government to keep them safe. What a joke.

California Democrats love to pretend they’re crusaders for public safety, but their gun bans prove just the opposite. They want to dictate what kind of handguns you’re “allowed” to own—if any—based on arbitrary rules no one else in the country follows. That’s not common sense. That’s tyranny, plain and simple. And those same politicians don’t care one bit if criminals ignore the law, which they always do. Instead, they make it harder for the good guys to fight back. It’s infuriating, and every law-abiding American should be shouting for justice.

There’s nothing scary about a Glock or any modern handgun, except to the gun-hating elites who want to micromanage every corner of your life. The only thing California’s roster did was block innovation, limit choices for citizens, and punish people who just want a reliable firearm. Globalist interests and left-wing ideologues have tried to force-feed the country their failed ideas, but the facts don’t lie: Restricting the rights of honest Americans never makes anyone safer.

So here’s the truth—real change is coming, and it can’t arrive fast enough. The Justice Department finally has the backbone to call out California’s nonsense for what it is: an attack on American liberty. Liberals can screech about “gun violence” until they’re blue in the face, but they’re the ones making law-abiding people less safe. If every state acted like California, soon only the criminals and the politicians would have guns. Is that the kind of America we’re willing to accept?
