There’s nothing like a heat wave for the left to start preaching the gospel of socialism. Just watch as collectivists crawl out of their air-conditioned offices, ready to lecture us on how we all need to “share the warmth.” Apparently, if you can’t beat the heat, let big government beat it for you. That’s the so-called compassion the far-left wants: Everyone boiling together in the name of equity.
Mamdani, one of those progressive darlings, recently blundered into public ridicule with his “advice” on surviving high temperatures. Instead of offering common-sense solutions (like maybe letting hardworking Americans keep their gas-powered ACs and affordable energy), he rolls out the old collectivist playbook. His vision? Put the whole city under the thumb of communal control to “manage” the heat. Forget personal freedom or private property—he’d rather throw us all in the socialist oven.
The hypocrisy is laughable. These people are always the first to cry about climate change, warning of disasters and doom if we don’t surrender every liberty for the common good. Yet here they are, trying to make the misery of a heat wave into yet another opportunity for mass control. Notice how it’s never about innovation or American ingenuity. To liberals, it’s always more bureaucracy, more rules, and more surrendering your rights for their utopian fantasies.
While Mamdani and his comrades pose as heroes, regular Americans know better. Folks want practical solutions, not endless lectures about “collective responsibility.” The left thinks working families should swelter in silence just to uphold some twisted “greater good.” Meanwhile, ruling elites relax and virtue-signal from the comfort of their taxpayer-funded cool zones.
So here’s the real warmth of collectivism: It’s the kind of heat you feel when freedom burns away under leftist nonsense. Do we really want to trade liberty for lecturing, comfort for compliance? Or is it time someone turned up the heat—on these socialist schemes?
