Media talks UFOs while Washington incompetence is the real cover up

Some days in America, you look at the calendar and have to wonder which planet we’re living on. Is it really July 2, or did the country take a wrong turn back in 2020 and end up somewhere in the Twilight Zone? While the news cycle blasts out headlines about UFOs, disco, and quirky holidays, the real story—the serious decay in our government’s ability to lead—never makes it to the front page.

Today is World UFO Day. That’s ironic, since spotting competence in Washington is rarer than seeing flying saucers. While bureaucrats bumble their way through every crisis—whether it’s the border disaster, sky-high inflation, or international blunders—most of the so-called watchdog media are too busy chasing stories about aliens to press for real accountability. American families are left to pick up the pieces while the ruling elite distract folks with shiny objects, glitter, and meaningless holidays.

The same media attention is paid to National Disco Day. It’s laughable. Americans are slapped with higher food prices, suffer crumbling schools, and watch their neighborhoods spiral out of control. But liberals would rather relive the disco craze of the 1970s—a time when gas cost a fortune and America’s pride was being auctioned off piece by piece. How convenient for the power-hungry politicians and their globalist pals: while they boogie on, Americans are told to just forget their troubles and keep dancing. Never mind who’s running the show or how much they’re giving away to foreign interests.

It’s also Made in the USA Day—a nice thought, if only Washington still cared about putting America first. Instead, the Beltway class bends over backward to please global corporations and foreign governments, while American factories close down and working families suffer. Liberals claim to love this country, but their actions scream the opposite. Manufacturing jobs are shipped overseas, illegal immigrants cross the border unchecked, and the “America Last” agenda marches on. Meanwhile, the media treats American-made products like some quirky novelty, not the backbone of real strength.

Honestly, “I Forgot Day” should be renamed “Liberal Accountability Day,” since that’s what most Democrat leaders specialize in—forgetting their promises, forgetting the working class, and definitely forgetting who they’re supposed to serve. While average Americans worry about paying the bills and putting food on the table, those in power are more concerned with headlines, polling numbers, and the next big distraction. It’s just one more example of how the progressive machine papers over incompetence, hoping no one notices the mess they’ve made.

Here’s a wild idea: Maybe the media should spend less time babbling about UFOs and disco, and more time exposing the failures that are wrecking this country. But that would mean admitting they’ve propped up the very people creating the mess. When was the last time you saw an honest headline about government incapacity or incompetence? About as often as you see a little green man waving a “Made in the USA” flag.
