Buffalo Ditches July 4th for Somali Celebration Locals Fume as Leaders Snub American Pride

Just when you think left-wing leaders couldn’t get any more out-of-touch, the City of Buffalo goes and proves everyone wrong. Instead of gearing up to honor America’s birthday like any proud city should, Buffalo’s leaders are out chasing the latest woke trend—throwing their weight behind Somali Independence Day. You’d think, with all the problems American communities face, city halls would focus on celebrating the red, white, and blue. But nope. In Buffalo, it’s become the norm to sidestep patriotism in favor of globalist pandering.

Liberal mayors seem to be in a race to see who can look the most “inclusive,” even if it means tossing aside America’s own history. Just like Minneapolis’s Democrat mayor, who went so far as to learn a foreign language to pander during Somali celebrations, Buffalo’s leadership would rather virtue signal than actually serve their own people. How does that help American citizens—especially when those leaders can barely deliver basic services at home?

It’s gut-wrenching to watch these stunts happen right before Independence Day. Buffalo’s top brass would rather kneel at the altar of multiculturalism than stand up for the nation that made their city possible. It’s a slap in the face to those who fought and died for American freedom. Who thought this would be the year cities couldn’t even keep July 4th sacred?

It’s not just about a harmless celebration. It’s about priorities. Every time American communities get put on the backburner, local government sends a message: Being American isn’t special anymore. Our so-called leaders would rather chase global applause than protect American values and American jobs. Is it any wonder regular folks feel ignored?

Liberals keep talking about unity, but their actions say the opposite. If celebrating America on Independence Day is too much to ask, maybe these politicians need a civics lesson. Or better yet, maybe they just don’t care about our country at all. How much longer will Americans let their leaders put global interests before the interests of the home team?
