Why Young Americans Are Dead Wrong About Freedom and What Schools Refuse to Teach Them

Too many young Americans walk around today believing peace is their birthright, not something hard-won by generations before them. They treat the world like a never-ending safe space, blind to the battles, blood, and sacrifice that bought their freedom. They post easy slogans, maybe stick a flag emoji on their profile, but how many actually grasp what the stars and stripes really mean? History is staring them in the face, but too many look away.

Let’s set the record straight. America has never been the world’s playground. It’s been a battleground—against tyranny, against oppression, and against those who hate our way of life. Yet modern youth, raised on sanitized classrooms and social media-fed guilt, seem to forget what evil really looks like. They’ve never seen the Nazi threat in real time. They haven’t faced communists on the battlefield or watched radical terrorists turn peaceful cities into rubble. Yet, somehow, they still think America’s always been the big bad villain. That’s liberal propaganda doing its job, selling shame instead of pride.

History proves the opposite. When darkness rises, it’s brave Americans—soldiers, sailors, and families back home—who pay the price. The beaches of Normandy weren’t stormed by diplomats. The Taliban wasn’t toppled by hashtags. Peace is something Americans earn, not something they get from politicians in Washington or activists on TikTok. If our children learned that in school, maybe we’d see more gratitude and less complaining.

But that’s not what the left wants. Liberals and their globalist friends push the fiction that America is just another selfish empire. They downplay threats, worship the United Nations, and blame the United States for the world’s problems. It’s like they want kids to believe we deserved every attack—9/11, Pearl Harbor, you name it. It’s anti-American garbage, plain and simple.

Here’s reality: America fights, America bleeds, and America leads. Our nation may not be perfect, but nobody else pushes back harder against tyranny and terror. The next generation needs to wake up. Do they think freedom grows on trees? Or are they ready to learn what happens when America stops fighting for it?
