Two-Hundred Fifty Years of American Greatness—Even as the Left Tries to Cancel It
This summer marks 250 glorious years since the birth of American freedom. No other country has survived with liberty and self-rule as long as the United States, and it’s because our Founders built real checks and balances right into our Constitution. Instead of runaway rulers or woke mob rule, America stays strong because of those Enlightenment values. That’s exactly why true patriots are ready to celebrate July 4th like never before—sold-out crowds, massive fireworks, parades, and military flyovers over a cleaned-up National Mall. Even record heat can’t stop the excitement.
But don’t expect the liberal media to embrace any of it. The usual suspects tried to paint the National Mall cleanup as unnecessary, even claiming vandalism was just an “accident.” When that didn’t work, they turned to their next playbook—talking down the festivities, showing up hours early with cameras to complain about “low turnout,” and grumping about pollution from fireworks. Anyone remember these hacks handwringing about air quality when it was leaded gasoline choking Washington, D.C., in the ‘70s? Of course not. These days, with Trump supporters everywhere and patriotism on full display, suddenly the sky is falling.
While Americans celebrated real freedom, Venezuela was living the nightmare of what happens when socialism and corruption take over. When a devastating earthquake hit Caracas, thousands were trapped, especially in the fragile buildings thrown up by their bloated government—cheap concrete hiding foam and shoddy construction. The suffering people of Venezuela had to dig through the rubble with their bare hands. Brave locals like “Topo de La Guaira” saved lives, yet their own government arrested them just for standing up and telling the truth. The world reacted, forcing Venezuela to release its heroes while corrupt officials busied themselves pulling vaults of dollar bills and stashes of drugs from the ruins—typical for a socialist regime obsessed with lining their own pockets.
Real help didn’t come from the United Nations or any of the woke bureaucrats who love to tell the U.S. how to behave. Instead, foreign aid poured in from unexpected places—the first boots on Venezuelan ground were from El Salvador, with their leader coordinating everything himself to stay until the job was done. Israel, long ignored and even unrecognized by Venezuela’s dictatorship, sent the most cutting-edge rescue team. Even then, establishment news managed to ignore their efforts until it was too embarrassing to keep silent. Embarrassing, but standard practice for globalist media and leftist governments—always ready to ignore the truth if it doesn’t fit the narrative.
Meanwhile, back in America, the Biden administration and its State Department are once again trying to dictate how foreign countries should govern themselves. In Venezuela, a popular and brave leader is ready to take over—everyone not on the government payroll wants change badly. Yet the U.S. keeps dragging its feet, wanting to wait for some imaginary “calm.” That’s what happens when globalists pull the strings—ordinary people suffer while bureaucrats debate.
At the same time, Iran stumbles along, with its so-called leaders missing in action after attacks on their command. The regime tries to act as if nothing happened, and of course, the mainstream media parrots the line that it’s all about “security concerns”—never mind the obvious. Iran is bleeding out, just not fast enough for the countless people yearning to see evil fall.
There’s a lesson here for America as we celebrate these 250 years: liberty thrives when real people act with courage, not when elites, globalists, or self-serving “experts” take charge. The Founders knew it, the rescue teams in Venezuela proved it, and every proud American waving a flag today lives it. Maybe the left is just angry because deep down, they know the greatest show on earth is patriotic Americans refusing to back down. Why are they so bothered by freedom, anyway?
