Once again, America wakes up to news that puts our so-called elite institutions under a harsh spotlight. The FBI has arrested Kerr Kriisa, a young man who spent six seasons bouncing around NCAA Division I basketball teams—yes, six, in a system already overrun by rule-bending and loophole surfing. Now, he finds himself locked up in Kentucky, waiting to be hauled off to a courtroom in West Virginia, all thanks to his alleged involvement in a multi-million-dollar fraud scheme.
Here we go again: another overseas athlete milking American colleges for years, only to leave behind a trail of crime and broken promises. These programs are supposed to shape leaders, yet they’ve become petri dishes for corruption—especially when America’s borders and standards are conveniently ignored in the name of “diversity” and “inclusion.” The NCAA keeps letting these foreign players jump from one school to another, turning the nation’s student athlete experience into a revolving door of questionable characters.
It’s hard not to notice the timing. While Americans struggle to afford groceries, rent, and gas, well-connected athletes and their buddies are allegedly raking in money through schemes the rest of us could never dream of pulling off. Where are the liberal watchdogs now? They love lecturing Hollywood-style about morality, but when scandal strikes their beloved sporting institutions, you can count on the left to look the other way—or even cry “racism” when the law steps in.
Kerr’s case is a wake-up call for anyone who still believes these college sports programs operate above board. With globalist interests worming their way into every American tradition, it’s no surprise these foreign recruits are given golden tickets while everyday citizens get the shaft. Liberals preach about equity, yet it’s their policies and open-door mindsets that invite crooks right through the front gate of our schools.
If varsity sports are becoming a playground for international fraudsters, isn’t it time we ask who’s really benefiting from American “higher education” these days? One thing is clear—our values are on the line. How much more national self-respect are we supposed to sacrifice before America says enough?
