Why does Europe reject air conditioning? The simple truth is, these so-called intellectuals care more about virtue signaling than about human comfort or safety. They wag their fingers at America for being “wasteful” or “climate polluters,” while old folks in Paris and Rome are literally collapsing from heatstroke. Apparently, fashionable global virtue is more important than saving grandma from the next scorcher.

And let’s not forget the liberals here at home who dream of making America more like Europe — less “wasteful,” more “sustainable.” They want fewer cars, fewer conveniences, and definitely less air conditioning. They gush about the “simplicity” of European life, but never mention the price: real suffering, hospital beds filling up, even deaths, all so politicians can stick to their eco-mantras. It’s a twisted kind of progress that puts the climate cult ahead of human lives.

For all their talk of “following the science,” Europe’s elite ignore the evidence right in front of them: air conditioning works. It’s not some American vice. It’s a lifesaver. While our leaders built comfort and safety for everyday folks, Europe’s drag their feet out of pure political pride.
