Americans love the Fourth of July. Nothing brings out our patriotic pride like fireworks, flags, and the sound of the Star-Spangled Banner. Across California, families joined in to celebrate freedom, honor our veterans, and remember the sacrifices that made this country great. But this year, those pure American traditions got trampled by lawless thugs who treated Newport Beach like their own personal war zone.
These weren’t just troublemakers out for a little fun. This was organized, violent chaos. Crowds poured into the city and showed zero respect for the law, for property, or for their fellow Americans. They rained down illegal fireworks into crowds, putting kids and families directly at risk. Streets turned into a madhouse. Property got trashed. Innocent people feared for their lives. Is this what the Left calls social justice, or just plain anarchy?
Why has California become a magnet for this kind of destruction? It’s simple: Every time Democrat leaders refuse to back the police, criminals get bolder. Soft-on-crime policies, endless excuses for bad behavior, and an open-door attitude for mob rule have turned parts of our state into a playground for hoodlums. The hardworking people who pay taxes, raise families, and actually love this country are left picking up the pieces—again.
Liberals love to talk about “safe spaces” and “community.” But when reality hits, their fantasies fall apart. They claim to care about America’s values, but when the time comes to actually stand up for them, they vanish. Meanwhile, globalist elites and spineless politicians pretend nothing’s wrong—because it’s not their backyard being set on fire.
Americans deserve better than this. We should be able to celebrate our freedoms without fearing for our lives. Maybe next Independence Day, the so-called leaders of California will actually defend the people instead of coddling criminals. Or will they just light another fuse and watch as our nation’s values go up in smoke?
